Other Policy Please note that driver accommodations and driver's meals are free of charge at our car park. although the google maps may show you the distance to world's end as 8.6 kms, that trail is closed by the government. actual distance to horton plains and world's end from the glenrock is 67 kms (one way)( we provide excursions to horton plains and adam's peak and more), vehicles must be parked at our car park, 2297 ft away and we will safely take you in our off road shuttle to the hotel. please contact the hotel(ideally with a local phone number which can be easily purchased at the airport). so that we can help you with directions and information(some google map recommended may not be travelable/viable mainly due to road conditions), while free wifi facilities are available, only the mobitel mobile carrier coverage is available. spa therapies have to be booked at least five days prior to the check in date and available only subject to the availability of the therapist. liquor, wine and beer are available in room and at restaurant, please inform the glenrock in advance of your expected arrival time . you may use the special requests box in communicating with the property directly or through the communication methods given in your confirmation. photo identification and credit card are required prior to check-in, please note that all special requests are subject to availability and additional charges may apply. we look forward to being at your service with the glenrock brand of hospitality and help you take back great memories of sri lanka.please inform of your expected arrival time in advance. you can use the special requests box when booking, or contact the property directly using the contact details in your confirmation, guests are required to show a photo id and credit card upon check-in. please note that all special requests are subject to availability and additional charges may apply, guests under the age of 18 can only check in with a parent or official guardian.

Positive: Couldn’t have wished for a better stay! This hotel is set in a truly serene location — every morning we woke to the gentle rush of a nearby stream, the cheerful songs of birds, and an otherwise blissful silence. Room was huge with AC, large bathroom incl. bathtub and a balcony with a breathtaking view. The culinary experience was just as memorable: from hearty Sri Lankan and Western breakfasts to an impressive variety of fish and meat dishes for lunch and dinner. Freshly squeezed juices and beautifully presented fruit platters added the perfect refreshing touch to every meal. The staff were an absolute dream — incredibly helpful, attentive, and offering impeccable service from start to finish including helping us to organise a kayaking trip. They made us feel genuinely cared for. We would recommend this place without hesitation — a perfect 10/10 experience!
Negative: As typical in Sri Lanka - no gym available.
Summary: Would come back anytime, highly recommended!

Positive: This is a really special place. Beautifully designed rooms embedded in nature; we were upgraded to the river side lodge which was a treat and a very unique experience as it feels like you're in the middle of the jungle. Spa treatments are excellent, and so is the food (especially the Sri Lankan curry; all made with unique local produce). As other people have said here, the most amazing thing about Glenrock is the people. It is hard to put into words just how attentive they are. Nothing is too much! Dumi took us on a wonderful day trip which gave us a real feel for the area, and from this we learnt a lot about rural Sri Lankan life. When one of us didn't feel well, the care they provided was outstanding. All in all a wonderful experience and we'd love to come back here one day.
Negative: It is quite remote and hard to get to, which means you either need to stay local or spend time in a car. It's not really possible to go anywhere else for food etc.

Positive: We loved the hospitality, the ambiance, the spa. The food was good but can be improved, tough meat and the river fish had too many bones. The staff kindly replaced it with chicken which was good but the hotel could improve on their cuisine. We loved staying on the river, but it does make a lot of noise.

Positive: I mean, where do I even start. The property itself is stunningly beautiful, accommodation plush and food excellent but the people and service are what really set this resort apart from others. The staff particularly Asanka and Thusith. These guys did more for me than any other resort experience I have ever had. Traveling alone by motorcycle I had no cell service, Asanka went so far as to go to town on his own to find me a portable WiFi router not to mention he loaned me his for the day while he was looking for one for me. Thusith took care of me like family with food, drinks, property tour, and insuring my laundry was collected and ready for me. The massage was fantastic from a true professional, he took special attention to the areas motorcycle riding strains. I really cannot thank and say enough good things about my experience. Then, to top it off Alsanka noticed my motorcycle was dripping oil and had one of the crew come take a look. If it wasn’t for this I surely would have blown the engine. He didn’t stop at that he and Thusith rode a scooter to town while I followed and took me to a store with oil, filled it for me and wished me safe travels.
